Father Joseph Lobo comes to us from India, bringing with him a deep-rooted faith and a wealth of pastoral experience. His devotion to ministry and his love for guiding others in their spiritual journey is known to me personally and I know it will be a wonderful addition to our parish Community.

Father Joe Lobo was born and raised just outside Mangalore, a city located on the southwest coast of India. He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Mangalore, India, in 1998, and for the past 27 years has served in both his native country and the United States. Early in his priesthood he ministered in India as an Associate Pastor, College Seminary Director, Vocations Director, and later as Director of St. Joseph Engineering College.
Since 2003, Father Joe has been serving in the Diocese of Rockville Centre in various parishes throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties - St. Raphael’s, East Meadow, St. Agnes Cathedral, Rockville Centre, St. Martin of Tours, Amityville, Our Lady of Mercy, Hicksville and Sts. Philip and James, St. James. Most recently he has served as Administrator of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Centereach.

Father Joe’s education background includes the Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from St. Joseph’s Seminary in Mangalore, India (affiliated with Urbaniana University, Rome) and a Master’s in English Literature from the State University of Mysore, India. He also holds an MBA in Management from Molloy University, Rockville Centre, NY. Father Joe became a US Citizen in November, 2022.
