What to Do When Disaster Strikes

Please join us on Sunday, September 23 at 2:15 in the auditorium of St. Joseph School for an informative presentation on DISASTER PREPAREDNESS.  The main speaker will be a representative of the NYS National Guard.  Each family in attendance will receive a Disaster Guidebook to take home and there is no fee to attend. 

Comprehensive overview of natural, man-made and technological disasters;
Preparedness Planning – Making a Family Plan, Safeguarding Home and Property, Supplies to Have on Hand, Taking Care of Pets;
What You Need to Know in Case of an Active
Shooter Event (NYS Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services video);
Responding During a Disaster – Sheltering in Place, Evacuation, Go Kits, Special Needs Considerations;
Recovery – Personal Safety, Structural Integrity of Home, Insurance, Mental Health After Disaster.
