A Man Called Ove

Based on an international best-selling novel, this Swedish film traces the life of a grumpy old man with inflexible rules and a short fuse. He’s essentially given up on life and committed to joining his deceased wife, but when a multicultural family moves in next door, a transformation begins. What ensues is a funny and moving love story, during which Ove experiences a genuine conversion and ultimate redemption. Note: The characters speak Swedish: so, the English subtitles (which some of us need anyway) are a necessary feature for this movie.
