Welcome, Fr. Joseph Scolaro!
With great happiness we would like to announce that Bishop Murphy has assigned the Reverend Joseph Scolaro as an associate pastor to the Parish of St. Joseph.
Fr. Scolaro was ordained this Saturday, June 14, 2014, by Bishop Murphy at St. Agnes Cathedral. Fr. Scolaro is a native Long Islander. He grew up in Bayville, a lifelong parishioner of St. Dominic Parish in Oyster Bay, where he attended elementary school. He went on to Chaminade High School and subsequently the University of Notre Dame. He entered the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception, Huntington, in 2010, to begin the program of priestly formation. There he pursued his studies in theology for two years, and spent his remaining two years at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers. We look forward to his parish ministry here at St. Joseph. Welcome, Fr. Scolaro!
