Summer 2021 was an exciting and busy time for St. Joseph School! With over four hundred students making their way through our doors on September 7th, we had much to do and upgrade in our buildings throughout June, July and August. We made our two libraries into brand new classrooms for our third and fifth grade homerooms, created a Library/Media Center, renovated one of our Tech Labs into a fantastic Treasure Time for 2’s space, and built an office for our full time Guidance Counselor! Of course with new spaces comes state-of-the-art technology, including three top of the line interactive panels, a class set of touchscreen Chromebooks for our Library/Media Center, and upgraded internet access and speeds to keep up with all these awesome advancements.
Facility upgrades were just the beginning! Academically, we have increased our Art and Music programs to three full days. We are welcoming back our full RISE Extracurricular program for grades K through 5, and our PATHWAYS program will be back to fully in-person for Grades 6-8. We are implementing a new Math 8 and Algebra 9 curriculum, and even have five middle school homerooms this coming year.
This year, we will focus on the virtue of Courage. We ask God for the courage to help our new St. Joseph School families and students make their transition to a new school with strength and comfort; the courage to help our current students welcome their new peers with love and kindness; and the courage to continue the path of health and safety as we face another school year during COVID-19.
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Deutoronomy 31:6
